Within the town, craft shops, flea-markets and cosy cafe's beckon with small-town charm and hospitality.The area is a veritable Garden of Eden: home to the only forest elephant in South Africa, the unique Knysna seahorse and the Pansy shell, the brilliantly coloured Knysna Loerie, a plethora of waterfowl and forest birds, dolphins and visiting whales   Le Petit Karoo Ranch where your trail guide will help you saddle up. Today's trail is something quite unique as you will be doing 2 hours of game viewing at Buffelsdrift Private Game Reserve on horseback! Learn more about the natural vegetation of the Little Karoo while seeing a variety of soft game (no cats) that this beautiful reserve has to offer, including Eland, Rhino, Elephant, Hippo, Giraffe, Buffalo etc.   Today is another unique day as you will be tasting wine on horse back. If you do not enjoy the wine you can still enjoy the trail as your guide takes you to one or two Estates. This half day horse trail goes to Ridgeback Wine Estate and if you have the energy you can also do a tasting at Rhebokskloof Wine Estate.       AB003-L (PDF)
